Charles Pappalardo, Managing Director
At the helm of the Trilogy team is Chuck Pappalardo. An accomplished industry veteran, Chuck brings more than 25 years of recruitment insight and experience to the executive search process. Specializing in C-level searches and building executive management teams for venture, clean technology, life sciences, nonprofit and foundation clients, Chuck has worked with such organizations as Amgen Inc., Golden Gate Community, Inc. (now New Door Ventures), Humanity United/Omidyar Network, Ice-Energy Inc., The William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, and Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. Prior to founding Trilogy Search Non+Profit, he was a partner and managing director with Christian & Timbers, now CTPartners, in the Cleveland and San Francisco Bay Area offices.

A respected leader in the retained search industry, Chuck has been quoted in the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, San Francisco Chronicle, Fast Company, Wall Street Journal, Workplace Management, Red Herring, Internet World and The Chronicle of Philanthropy, among other publications. He has also been interviewed on NPR.

Chuck currently serves on the boards of New Door Ventures, a San Francisco-based organization assisting at-risk youth, and Book Trust, a nonprofit that provides underprivileged children with the opportunity to choose, own, and delight in books.

Andrew Deitz, Director
In his role as an executive recruiter and talent acquisition expert, Andrew works closely with organizations to identify strategic staffing needs and build thriving executive management teams, with a particular focus on the clean technology and health care services sectors.

Andrew has 15 years experience in working with CEOs and executives of fast-growing portfolio companies funded by influential venture capital and LBO firms such as Bessemer Venture Partners, Accel Partners, and Symphony Technology Group.

He was instrumental in launching human capital services for a newly-created private equity fund, and led business development efforts for the start-up phase of a diversified recruiting company.

Deitz began his career as an environmental research scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratories. He was a founding VP at Climate Earth and is an active member with e2 (e2.org), which helps to shape energy policies that promote economic growth.

Andrew is also an urban farmer.
